ISO Quality Management System 9001:2008 Certification
ATSB receives ISO certification on Quality Management System 9001:2008 for the “Provision of Software Development including Design, Development, Testing, Integration, Maintenance and Support of Embedded Systems.”
The ISO certification process ensures on-going compliance to standards of performance and surveillance audit will be made every six months for continuous execution of the standards.
Conformance to ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance standards requires the implementation of procedural changes, training, increased documentation, and adjustments to operating systems on every level of the software development process.
Satellite Innovation Centre (SIC)
This Optical Lab is equipped with an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)-controlled flooring system. This lab is used to perform assembly, integration and test of the electro-optical subsystems. The cleanroom environment is controlled to ensure the functionility and safety of all of the dust-sensitive optical equipments. This room is also equipped with high precision isolated optical table. It is used to isolate any external source of vibration and shock during the optical testing and alignment.
The specifications of the Optical Lab are listed below:
a. Cleanliness : Grade 10,000 and 100,000 @ 0.5µm particles or less
b. Temperature : 18-22°C
c. Relative humidity : 50-60%
The Electronic Lab is used by engineers to perform any electrical and electronic works. For example:
a. Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly by using soldering technique
b. Fabrication of electronic circuit on PCB
c. Solar panels integration
d. Satellite subsystems test and verification
e. Thermal test
The lab is equipped with various types of equipments; for example Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Supply Unit, Network Analyzer, Solar Simulator, Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Frequency Counter etc.
