RazakSAT® has been designed to orbit the earth in Near Equatorial Orbit (NEqO) at a nominal altitude of 685 km and 9 degrees inclination. This will provide a high number of passes over the equatorial region (14 per day over Malaysia) and the imaging opportunities will be three times more compared to the usual sun-synchronous orbit. This unique feature gives RazakSAT® the ability to maximize its imaging opportunities and significantly increase its re-visit time over the coverage area. ![]() With its maneuverability and high resolution imager, RazakSAT® can access a 800 km corridor with 20 km swath width image anywhere in this corridor where resolutions of up to 2.5 m can be achieved. This allows the combination of both high resolution capability while maintaining a large imaging access area.
