VIGILANT Ground-Based Imaging Systems

As part of its diversification, ATSB® has commercializes relevant space-related technologies. Among these are robotic telescopes and cameras that can be remotely programmed and controlled through the Internet. ATSB®’s Vigilant series of imaging systems serves to provide solutions to the educational and professional sectors.

ATSB®’s Vigilant telescopes and cameras have now been installed in Antarctica, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam and Melaka, Among the configurations deployed are All-Sky cameras, Solar Telescope and the more common astronomical telescopes.

ATSB® is market leader in the country providing complete solutions for institutional users for deep space observation. We have solutions for CCD-based telescopes that includes automated domes which can be remotely controlled. The telescope that we provide customizes solutions for range from a diameter of 10cm – 1.5m.

 

Vigilant All-Sky Telescopes Camera


ATSB® has commissioned an all-sky camera in the extremely severe weather conditions in Antarctica back in 2003 and the high-quality images are still being received remotely in Kuala Lumpur.

The all-sky images can be displayed simultaneously to show the difference between the equatorial and Antarctica skies, and is used for aurora research work.
