Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (ATSB®) gave a warm welcome to the delegation of about 35 Chinese imams or religious leaders from China with the collaboration of the Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA). The imams from China are undertaking several Islamic courses in Malaysia and also help to promote Chinese culture and understanding. This visit was part of their tour schedule in Malaysia in the hope to know Malaysia culturally, economically and technologically. The delegation also brought some posters and information leaflets on the progress that they have made in pursuing Islamic studies and Islamic dakwah in China. ATSB® presented its most recent updates and highlights of its past and present projects by ATSB® Senior Vice President, En. Norhizam Hamzah with a interpreter on standby to for the English-Mandarin translation. The delegate was also pleased to hear that Malaysia has made significant progress in developing technology. Later, one of the delegate member demonstrated “tai-chi quan” to the thrilled ATSB® audience as part of the cultural exchange. The delegate was later served with some of the best Malaysian dining during the afternoon tea break. During this time, the delegates and members of ATSB® had the chance to change views and opinions of current events and projects. After that, all members of the delegation and ATSB® prayed the Asar prayers together. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Sabirin later met up with the Chinese delegates and mentioned that cooperation between countries especially among Islamic community is crucial in giving support to one another. Muslims from all over the world should support one another economically and technologically. This was an important step forward in forging ties between countries.
