6th World Islamic Economic Forum Exhibition

May 18, 2010 - The 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) was held from 18-20 May 2010 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre with the theme “Gearing for Economic Resurgence”. ATSB® participated in the exhibition in support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation effort to promote space and advanced technology. ATSB® believed that the exhibition was a premier platform to explore opportunities in Islamic countries that offers prospect in identifying and develop potential area for space and advanced related technology contribution to the evolution of the global, economic and social agenda.

A replica of RazakSAT® satellite was featured to highlight Malaysia’s achievement as an icon for an Islamic country capable of becoming an innovative nation that record a history in the industry as the world 1st remote sensing satellite launched into the Near Equatorial Orbit (NEqO) on 14 July 2009. RazakSAT-2 replica was also displayed to portray the continuity of remote sensing programme during the entire exhibition.
