Malaysian Satellite Arrives At Marshall Islands Launch Site |

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (XNA) Mar 24, 2009 RazakSAT® had arrived at Omelek Island in the Republic of Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean from where it will be launched into orbit on April 21, Astronautic Technology (ATSB) chief executive officer Ahmad Sabirin Arshad said in Shah Alam, capital of Malaysian central Selangor state on Monday.

SHAH ALAM 23 Mac - Enam krew RazakSAT® hari ini memulakan kerja-kerja pemunggahan komponen peralatan satelit itu setelah tiba kira-kira pukul 11.30 pagi (waktu tempatan) di Kepulauan Kwajalein, Amerika Syarikat (AS) semalam.
Menurut Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. (ATSB), Datuk Dr. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad, kerja-kerja itu dilakukan oleh kumpulan jurutera dan juruteknik ATSB yang mengikuti penerbangan tersebut.

KOTA KINABALU: Malaysia will send into space the world's first remote sensing satellite to orbit the equator on April 21, providing high resolution images of Malaysia that can be used to provide information on land management, forestry and security.
The 190kg satellite, RazakSAT, which will orbit the equator every 100 minutes, will also be used to gather photographic data on resource development, conservation and fish migration.
